The problem
Every parent knows the feeling: you arrive at a restaurant with your toddler only to find there are no high chairs, the bathroom has no changing table, and the menu has nothing your kid will eat. And even when a place has the right stuff, the staff might rush you through your meal or give you looks when your two-year-old gets loud. Online reviews rarely mention these details, and when they do, the information is buried and often outdated.
Houston has thousands of restaurants, and families deserve to know which ones are truly ready to welcome them — not just equipped, but happy to have them — before they load up the car.
Our approach
BibScore tracks two things that matter to families: amenities and vibe. On the amenities side, we cover the essentials — high chairs, booster seats, changing tables, family restrooms, play areas, and more. Each one is a simple yes or no, reported by parents who've actually been there.
On the vibe side, we capture what no checklist can: how accepting a place is of kid noise, whether the staff genuinely welcomes families, and whether the pacing works when you've got little ones at the table.
Reports from multiple parents build a reliability score, so you can trust what you see. And when things change, new reports keep the data fresh.
What we believe
Community first
The best data comes from real parents sharing real experiences. Every report makes the platform better for everyone.
Focused & useful
We track what matters to families — the practical stuff and the feeling — not everything. Targeted data beats a wall of subjective reviews.
Open data
We use open data sources where possible and believe restaurant amenity information should be freely available.
Houston proud
We're starting in Houston because it's home. The most diverse city in America deserves family dining info that reflects its communities.
